Volunteer with Power of Flowers Project

There are many ways to volunteer your time to support our mission to Share Hope and Happiness!

Volunteers arrive at our Tewksbury workshop six mornings each week ready to assist in the many tasks involved in running our organization.  We have volunteers who create and deliver bouquets, pickup donated flower arrangements, conduct Flower Therapy Workshops at care communities, clean our workshop, organize and lead a recycling program to resell vases and containers to area florists, and plan large scale fundraisers to help with expenses.

We need people to

In order to create bouquets, we must gather donated flowers from a variety of locations.  On a typical day we receive calls from funeral homes, florists, and event venues asking us to pick up flower arrangements.  We then put out a request via text for a volunteer to pick up the flowers.  A volunteer will answer the call and drive to the location to pickup the flowers.

While the pickup of donated flowers is underway, we assemble a team at the workshop who will help unload, breakdown the arrangements, and refresh the blooms.

Volunteers use the donated and refreshed flowers to create 400 signature bouquets each week.

Volunteers deliver our creations to lonely seniors and veterans at Care Communities (includes Assisted Living Facilities, Elder Services Agencies, and Veterans Services) primarily in the Greater Merrimack Valley of MA and Southern NH.

Don’t have a lot of time?
We can still use your help!

We have volunteers who work only a few hours at a time and only when their schedule permits and others who work nearly every week. We can use your help no matter how few or how many hours you have to contribute.

Our Workshop is located in Tewksbury MA. Click here for Directions.
