POFP Plant Sale Update

The Power of Flowers Project’s 5th Annual Plant Sale is happening on May 2, 2020 (rain or shine), at the Tewksbury Senior Center from 9 AM to 1 PM.  As we’re busy putting the details together for this fun event, we wanted to share some highlights:

We’ll be raffling off a $250 Gift Card to Mahoney’s.  Think of the things you could get for your garden!  Mahoney’s has large selection of high-quality garden plants, gardening products, and

gardening services.  They have 8 retail locations in Winchester, Tewksbury, Concord, Brighton, Falmouth, Osterville, and Chelmsford, and a growing facility in Woburn.  So buy a ‘bloomin’ ticket for $10 for a chance to win $250.

As in past POFP Plant Sales, we will raffle off beautiful baskets and other exciting garden- and flower-themed items similar to those pictured.  Raffle Tickets for these items will be 20 tickets for $10.00.  Here’s an idea of what you could win:

  • Quilted Bag with Goodies
  • Garden Wagon
  • Garden Cart with Flowers
  • Bird Bath
  • Garden Surprise Basket
  • Large Dish Garden

New this year: There will be artisan tents with craft items, such as stained glass, home-made local honey, handmade beaded jewelry, spirited creations in alcohol ink, and hand-crafted wooden products.

National Sharpening Company of Andover will again be on-site to bring new life to your dull gardening tools (such as shears, clipper blades, scissors) and other household items (such as serrated knives and cleavers).

In future posts, we’ll share more details of things to expect at this year’s POFP Plant Sale.  So, mark your gardening calendars and come on down.  May 2 will be here before you know it.
