The word around town is TEA! Victorian Tea to be exact! And the signs are there to prove it!
The signs, across town, are announcing a Victorian Tea sponsored by the Power of Flowers Project and hosted by the Tewksbury Congregational Church. And YOU are invited to join us!
Reminiscent of gentile days gone by – the event will host an afternoon tea serving finger foods and delicacies unique to Victorian times and, of course, a variety of teas. Breads, conserves, dainty desserts, and crystallized fruits and nuts will be a treat for your palate.
The setting will take you back in time with a pretty display of the foods on tiered plating, damask linens, and flowers everywhere. A pretty setting to calm the soul and encourage the art of a conversation. A fine afternoon to share with friends and soon to be friends.
Mrs. Gordon will take you further back in time as she entertains with stories of the Victorian period – lifestyles, courtships and more.
Tickets are getting very limited – so don?t wait or you?ll miss a bit of history and a wonderful afternoon where technology is left outside the door and you are transported to a quiet afternoon with friends.
